Muslims Settle 'Prayer in the Workplace' Dispute

Good Greif!!!!! Can you imagine this happening for any other religion??? Like - say - CHRISTIANITY?? We are accomodating Muslims and squelching the Christians. Possibly the Christians should knock down a few buildings in a large city & they'd get the same considerations...(sarcasm intended for you literal folks) Gimme a break.

Beware the Robot Machines: Teresa Heinz Kerry Speaks Out

Anytime the Ketchup Lady speaks... just imagine the theme music from The Twilight Zone playing in the background. The same woman who wore a button at one stop during the presidential campaign that had photos of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld with the caption: "Asses of Evil" is at it again.

Oh, and a note to the leftie fellow traveler who tried to pawn the notion that Republicans somehow engage in the moral equivalent of such nonsense: please tell me what Laura Bush, or ANY elected senior Republican has said or done that in any way REMOTELY compares with the lunacy and bile that spews from Ketchup and her ilk.... (play theme song from Jeopardy while we wait... and wait... and wait....)

In The Northwest: Teresa Heinz Kerry hasn't lost her outspoken way: "COUNTING THE VOTES: Heinz Kerry is openly skeptical about results from November's election, particularly in sections of the country where optical scanners were used to record votes.
'Two brothers own 80 percent of the machines used in the United States,' Heinz Kerry said. She identified both as 'hard-right' Republicans. She argued that it is 'very easy to hack into the mother machines.'
'We in the United States are not a banana republic,' added Heinz Kerry. She argued that Democrats should insist on 'accountability and transparency' in how votes are tabulated.
'I fear for '06,' she said. 'I don't trust it the way it is right now.'"

Hey Ketchup: You are right about the vote thing... Just ask the people of Washington state who their REAL governor is...

Room with a view- Change in North Korea?

Room with a view
ASIA: An American businessman gets a bird's-eye look at what may be regime change underway in North Korea
: "While Mr. Browning is seeing physical changes unfold before his eyes, others are coming to similar conclusions watching other signs. Seoul-based Korean-American human-rights activist Douglas Shin has been tracking blips in North Korea's usually predictable propaganda. From subtle rewordings in the state press and from reports Mr. Shin receives from a high-ranking North Korean official, he believes a band of military generals has already sidelined Mr. Kim.
Most unusual, Mr. Shin said, is Kim Jong Il's virtual disappearance from the public eye. 'This kind of thing on this scale has never happened before,' Mr. Shin said. 'Kim Jong Il has never spent more than five months away from outsiders' view.' Yet even photos released of Mr. Kim with Chinese envoy Wang Jiarui in late February appear dated. The same entourage from Mr. Wang's North Korea visit last year is shown."

Very interesting read. This article details what may become a new day in North Korean government.
